Saw the same thing happen with gangs of black kids taking over Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. The story, before social media, broke on talk radio and grew legs. Only then did the KC news stations tip-toe around the story and its racial element. When KC's black mayor was on the Plaza and nearly in crossfire where 2 black kids got shot HE called the situation out for what it was.
