r. They seemed to be more rational than the AP voters & teams could jump or fall by larger amounts from week to week. They also seemed to take into account injuries. Or at least some contended that that was at least partially why the CFP committee knocked Florida State out of contention for a playoff spot last year despite a perfect season up to that point. Of course losing their conference championship game sealed the deal.
