in '24 we saw a lot of new names come in, and a lot go out via the portal. overall 247 ranked our transfer class 13th in the nation, just missing out on the transfer portal playoffs.

Here's who we got:
- Cayden Green OL, OU - stepped right into the starting LG
- Toriano Pride CB, Clemson - stepped in to the starting corner
- Darris Smith DE, Georgia - injured and out for the year, but was battling for a starting role. has 2 years left.
- Jeremiah Beasley LB, Michigan - freshman who hasn't played much
- Marcus Carroll RB, Georgia St - many thought he'd be the #1 RB but he's clearly the #2. has been good in that role.
- Chris McClellan DL, Florida - starting DT and has been pretty good
- Sterling Webb DL, NM State - added depth as a 2nd string DT, has a few tackles
- Zion Young DE, Michigan St - starting DE has been pretty good
- Nate Noel RB, App St - arguably the most impactful transfer in the class, seems to be filling the role of Cody Schrader pretty well
- Marcus Bryant OL, SMU - stepped right into the starting LT spot
- Khalil Jacobs LB, South Alabama - technically a 2nd string LB but leads the team in sacks
- Eddie Kelly Jr DE, Georgia Tech - good depth as 2nd string DE
- Corey Flagg LB, Miami - currently #2 on the team in total tackles (20) and tied for #3 in sacks (1)
- Drew Pyne QB, Arizona St - #2 QB

I'd argue every one of these has been a positive impact transfer, except for Smith (injured) and Beasley (freshman) but there's certainly still time for those guys to step in and contribute.

Here's who we lost:
- Gabari Johnson QB, Oregon St
- Jake Garcia QB, East Carolina
- Max Whisner TE, Akron
- Dameon Wilson LB, East Carolina
- Val Erickson OT, NC St
- DJ Wesolak DE, Oregon St
- Dannis Jackson WR, Southern Miss
- Serigne Tounkara DE, Cal
- Xavier Simmons LB, Charlotte
- Kyran Montgomery DL, Ball St
- Ryan Hoesterkamp TE, Middle Tenn St

Hope they all do well, but I'm not sure we miss any of them.

I'm beginning to think Drink might be pretty good with the transfer portal.
