This morning at the dog park in Washington MO I found myself in the midst of an extremely long and detailed discussion among middle aged Lou folk about the Brownies, aka the St. Louis Browns.

For the uninitiated, the St. Louis Browns baseball team has been gone from St. Louis since 1953 and most of the time they sucked when they were in STL.

Yet the Brownies were a lengthy random convo while our dogs were taking a sh**. I mean, the sh**s they took were brown, but otherwise I did not get the relevance.

It then went on to a 10 minute discussion of Mark McGuire's hitting ability.

I didn't understand the whole Loutard thing before, but I think I get it now.
