EE was all over the map on this too actually…

It’s not just Anderson.
Just looking at EEs last 5 fall seasons, starting in 2017 and going backward, fall games were announced with the following advance notice to fans:
5 days
6 weeks
9 days
19 days
4 weeks
Just an arbitrary number, but I think fans should be given at least a minimum of 2 weeks notice on the fall schedule.
Starting with Anderson’s first fall season (2018), the advance notices were:
1 day
4 weeks
5 days
3 weeks
9 days (this year)
Couldn’t find the articles on the Mizzou website for the fall schedules in 2020 and 2021. I don’t believe there was a fall season in 2020 as Covid was raging. There was an article in 2021 halfway through giving a schedule update. I don’t know how accurate the archives are though.
So both EE and Anderson were inconsistent in giving adequate notice on the fall schedules.
What I did like, a lot, was when EE was the coach there would be articles posted after every fall doubleheader giving a nice summary of the highlights and player contributions. I appreciated that. Articles on the fall games themselves ended when Anderson was hired in 2018, and that’s disappointing. I’ve never seen an explanation for that. Although a clue to her thinking about publicity for fall games could be discerned by the 2018 schedule announcement that pointedly said there would be no stats posted for fall exhibition games “due to the nature of these games, as the teams will focus on practice, etc etc”.
Frankly, I’d like to see both box scores (at least for Mizzou), and game summaries for the fall exhibition games. But it’s pretty clear to me that game summaries and highlights of fall games are going to have to come from fans on this message board who attend the games.
