The federal government does the same. Both types of government entities have an almost insatiable appetite for money.
State tax burdens borne by the citizens of any state should not be alleviated by transferring that burden to federal taxpayers of states by giving relief based on a states taxing policy.
In other words, Missouri taxpayers federal tax burden should not be affected by the state tax paid by Illinois taxpayers who deduct a large state tax burden to reduce their federal tax.
