We have had contentious and high-partisan times in the past, but it is Trump and his blind willingness to invite violence into the political arena that seems to have brought these on. The first was a dumb kid (it seems) who was a registered Republican, the second we know little about. But Mr Trump bears some responsibility for the willful manner in which he generates violence. He seems oblivious also to the danger and harm he incites.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
