assuming and letting others know they were morally superior based on their political affiliation. Their party drastically shifts to socialism and all the baggage that comes with it (censorship, persecution of "dissidents", price controls, inflation, etc) and they are too entrenched to just say "this isn't the party I used to support". instead they fall in line and parrot the talking points and claim people are stupid even when presented with empirical facts.
