About the candidates, their positions, their ability to articulate, and their demeanor is to have them "cross examined" by the opposition. Like in the Senate or house hearing rooms. Let Mark Levin cross examine chuckles the veep.

Let Robert De Niro question Trump. OK, maybe not a great example. De Niro is an idiot. But you get the idea.

There would be no pretense of impartiality.
There would be no equal time.
There would be no kindness and no quarter given.

The candidate could refuse to answer. That might make the candidate look like a weenie, or it might make the questioner look like an ass hole.

Politics has become a blood sport. There is no "loyal opposition". Stop pretending. Go for the throat. Let's see what happens.
