Yeah that’s a tough conference draw…

Getting both OU and Texas in their first season is unlucky. Only 4 of the 13 SEC teams get them both in 2025:
Missouri
Tennessee
Florida
Miss St
But the rest of the SEC schedule is very manageable, particularly road series against the likes of Kentucky, Old Miss, Miss St. So that balances things out to some degree.
And if you believe in conspiracies, then of course we go up against Ole Miss and EE, of course we do, lol.
The strength of SEC softball is just insane, clearly the toughest conference top to bottom by far, then adding OU and Texas to make it even tougher. Just remember, finishing .500 in the conference, and/or finishing right around the “top half” of the conference (7th or 8th), which a few people here seem to view as a sign of failure, means you are a top 25 team and likely in the hunt for a top 16 national seed and home regional.
For goodness sakes, we were 13-11 in the SEC last season, just one win above .500, and still got a top 8 National seed.
