Plus the Memphis game was switched pretty late so...

it wasn't promoted for very long. Memphis is not a good opponent to play in STL or KC (as was the case with BYU). Plus, everyone thought MU was just going to be a pedestrian team last year.

Memphis was going to be a road game so it was probably the only thing agreeable to Memphis - to call it a neutral site game. It was trying to polish a previous scheduling turd.
