"The Harris campaign said that its August haul was the best grassroots fundraising month in presidential history after nearly 3 million donors contributed throughout the month and 1.3 million donors contributed for the first time this cycle. It also said that of the first-time donors, three-quarters did not contribute in the last presidential election.

Additionally, the campaign said that 95 percent of August donations were under $200 and that teachers and nurses are the most common donor occupations. Over 60 percent of donors in August were women, and almost a fifth of donors were registered Republicans or Independents, according to the campaign."
