There was an event I yearned to participate in for years. I had planned to get a tattoo memorializing it if I ever got there. Eventually made it there, lost all interest in the ink. I'm super glad for couple reasons
A) The idea of tattoo of any kind, let alone a corporate logo, doesn't appeal to me
B) That event doesn't even register on my radar any longer. It doesn't cross my mind when I think of epic, cool events I've been fortunate enough to be a part of.
