but there were a lot of rough edges in that game against a very inferior opponent. I thought the inability to run with routine authority and the failure to connect on long passes was not impressive.
But the ability to get so many players in the game, and the effectiveness of the second, third and fourth string guys that got into the game was terrific. I can't remember a game in my lifetime where so many players saw meaningful action. Our bench has always been so shallow we never saw that kind of depth off the bench. Seems like the best sign that recruiting has really improved.
At this point in the season, who cares where they have Mizzou ranked? If they keep winning, the polls will take care of themselves.
