Everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt as it's difficult to evaluate our performance against inferior competition (one of the worst FCS teams in the country)
WR/TE - Grade A
This may be the best collection of WR talent in Mizzou history. We have numerous backups who can make explosive plays. Concerned about Norfleet's injury.
OL - Grade A
The unit performed well with no QB pressures and nice running lanes for our backs. Believe Green had two holding penalties, but overall our new left side did a good job.
QB - Grade B
It was a mixed back for Brady. His decision making was good and he made some plays with his legs, but his accuracy was poor.
Special Teams - Grade A
Craig looks solid and the units performed well.
DL - Grade A
McClellan is a great addition on the interior.
LB - Grade B+
Believe this the weakest position group on the team, but Newson played well.
Secondary - Grade A
Despite losing several key players to the NFL this unit appears solid with good depth
Overall it was a good start with far more
positives than concerns. The offense definitely needs to clean up a few things as the 2nd quarter was too sloppy. Again, it's difficult to make a fair evaluation against inferior competition, but overall a great start.
