now with the cooler temps and fall around the corner I need to address the bare spots. I was going to add about 5 inches of topsoil and then lay seed, but now I am thinking about just buying sod and really watering those areas.

Any shackers done this before?

If so - did you lay a 5 inches of topsoil and then the sod? Or did you just scrape up the remaining mulched up pieces and throw the sod down without adding any topsoil underneath it?
