Current immigration law requires admittance of anyone who expresses a “credible fear” of persecution in their home country.
If the Administration follows the law, those migrants enter legally. They then wait for an administrative judge to make an asylum determination.
Administration policies are relevant - some, like child separation, have a deterrent effect, but come with a high political price such that Trump ended the policy. Some, like Remain in Mexico, require willing partners. Some, like Title 42, can only legally be used during a public health emergency.
None of them change the law that allow asylum seekers to legally enter.
What I maintain is insignificant is not illegal immigration, or the number of asylum seekers, or gang activity, or whatever else you think I said.
I said voting by illegal immigrants is insignificant in terms of changing an election. I have seen no evidence to the contrary.
