Don't trip up against lesser teams and the season basically comes down to a 2 game stretch, at Alabama and Oklahoma, and you get a bye week in between the games.

Go 1-1 there and you can even afford another loss and likely be in the playoffs. Starting ranked inside the playoffs with an easy early schedule is huge because your ranking will only go up and gives you a buffer for a slip up in college station or something.
