I'm not ever going to denigrate Missouri State. I have no ill will to them whatsoever, I hate some Mizzou fans' desire to refer to them as "little brother", and don't consider them Mizzou's competition nor rival.
(It doesn't hurt my attitude towards Missouri State that my dad graduated from there in the 60s, my mom is from Springfield, I still have family in Springfield, and I've spent a lot of time in MO State's basketball arena watching the Bass Pro TOC high school basketball tournament over the past 20 years).
So look, Go Bears. But they are going to be bad.
Their stadium is half the size it needs to be for a D1 program, and it's a dump. They need a whole new stadium.
They need probably 80 new players, because they're not even a good FCS team let alone FBS. They need an entire new coaching staff. I'm going to imagine they need new facilities.
The step up to CUSA is going to bring in exponential more money for them, but they need to get the Hammonds or somebody to front them $250M right now so they can start the process.
