to attempt to validate that entire list, but for context, just because someone doesn't serve 20 years is not sufficient enough to prove they are not officially retired...medical retirements are a thing for disability and those folks can indeed sign their name as retired.

Getting lost among your sky-screaming and hoping for a gotcha is the level of personal benefit that walz has tried to (or gotten) as a result of using a rank he did not have at retirement....if the others have done the same then they should be shamed into oblivion as well.

There are other plausible explanations other than stolen valor here, and it would be nice for the trump campaign to clear it up.
