to fix broad scale inflation by crackdowns on 'price gaging'.

She's trying to blame the inflation on greedy business people.

Spanky's question is quite reasonable in that context. What would have made business owners so greedy all of a sudden? Why would they all start being greedy and raising prices in unison now? Why didn't they all do that back in 2016, '17, '18, '19? What changed? Human nature?
