The media deliberately lied about it. My friend that does polling for the DNC couldn't believe they bought it. The weekend that story came out they were polling Harris at the top of the ticket, and it was bad, like catastrophically bad. There was a big sigh of relief by Tuesday when the media narrative that is was Russian disinformation became the truth.

Everybody knew what the laptop really was. Maybe someday it will come out what was done to cover this up. It makes Watergate look like child's play.
