If someone immigrates to the US from Egypt, which is part of Africa, are they African-American?
So should we call black people sub Saharan African-Americans?
And if they are sub-Saharan Africans, what about a white person who is from Africa and his family has been in the nation of South Africa for hundreds of years are they African-Americans, are they sub-Saharan African-Americans? Is Elon Musk African-American?
African-American means black. End of story unless you wanna call American black people, "sub Saharan, nonwhite African Americans" why don't we just say black?
