I would get these chain e-mails from my uncle claiming Obama wasn't born in America, that he was Muslim, Arab, and a bunch of other racist things in addition to fear that he was going to take away our guns.

None of it was true. Including, he never took away our guns. During one of John McCains town hall, he had to stop one of his supporters mid-sentence and tell her all these lies were not true and Obama was good and decent person.

All that crap was all just a bunch of made up lies to spread fear and hate, and uneducated people believed it to be true because... "it was on the internet"

Now the new chain e-mail spreading lies is idiot twitter posts and links to conservative blogs that are ACTUAL fake news.

I was listening to the radio yesterday, switching back from NPR and the conservative talk station here, and there was an advertisement of Don Jr trying to promote some gold company.

Basically spreading fear that the economy will crash and you don't want to be caught without gold, so you better buy you some now.

Fear is what speaks to these people. Not hope. Not change.

Fear and hate is the formula Trump is using. Obama won on hope and change.

Nobody is going to change anyone's mind here. It is really just a waste of time.

But sometimes it is worth pointing out what happened in the past and what is happening now.

The same old crap.
