From the MO Hwy Patrol helo. Trying to avoid camera shake, which was tough. Had to bring my elbows in close to my body because with them out (normal) the vibrations were telegraphed to the camera. Had to use the main part of my body as a shock absorber and fight the rotor blast coming thru the window's camera port to keep my eyes from watering.

Athletic Department used my pics for all kinds of promotional materials and I had the inside cover for the Hall of Fame program. Was going thru an open door at the ATO house over Christmas and saw one of my pics was used for a Tiger recruiting poster as a central theme of a collage.

Got to fly again during the Penn State game and Deaver asked me to get some pics of the hospital. They had put a new front on it and wanted updated images for postcards and other uses.

Deaver arranged both flights under the pretense of photographing all the parking lots and fire lanes around buildings near the stadium to determine if emergency vehicles could get thru. He was most concerned with Central Food Stores warehouse complex where motor homes parked.

RIP Maj. Mick Deaver. You were a great boss and great mentor.
