in interviews is evidence the Trump team knows it's gone too far.

I mean there are two stories right now: 1. Kamala's ascendency. 2. Vance stinking it up every time he opens his mouth.

Trump's kind of in the background, which is unusual for him. Unusual in the sense that he has to be outfront all the time to operate well.

All that said, the last month has been absolutely bananas in terms of movement in this race. Just over a month ago was Biden at the debate. That's nuts. So a lot is gonna happen in the next three months.
