It was pretty f’in great, playing football in the vacant lot, ice cold Pepsi for a quarter, making ramps out of scrap lumber to jump our bikes over, drinking straight from the garden hose. Kick the Can and Red Rover and Smear the (guy with the ball).

The 60’s and 70’s were as good as it gets.
