that a premise is false.

If one starts with the premise that raising the minimum wage will improve the economic fairness in an economy, then it would make sense to explore raising it higher than what is proposed.

If a little bit is good, more is better, right?

In this case, raising it to very high levels exposes some of the deleterious effects that the proposer of raising them is unaware of, or is ignoring.
