Knows where he really is, in terms of career. Is he close to hanging it up? Does he go 3-4 more years. He's been pouting and sulking over his son being forced out, but it highlights how the AD had to get involved with a metaphorical crowbar to get to jettison his obviously in over his head son. That cloudiness over the program and the direction it's headed will be answered as the season goes along. *IF* the offense has improved (& I'm told the bar is pretty low) and they are able to navigate the new B1G, expect Kirk to coach another couple of years. If the team goes off the rails, he could call it quits...based in his career winning percentage. No one knows....Epenesa & family are watching Iowa like everyone else. I like our chances, but I think it will be a late commitment...like November late...after Iowa & Miami falter down the stretch. Again, I like our chances if Iowa craps out as expected.
