His top aides who have been with him for years had been soft-pedaling polling data to him and finally decided on Friday to meet with Biden and lay out the facts, that he was losing in all polling. They presented that to a then ailing president Saturday morning at the family's place in Delaware where Biden was resting. He argued that they could still win it. His aides said not so much. The next morning Biden made the call that he would not run. Oh, that's right, you said "THEY" forced him off the ticket.
