She is implying an adjective that is unspoken

She really means a competent democracy. Trump won’t end it purposefully or by design, but it is certainly plausible that in the span of four years it would collapse under the weight of ineptitude. America has never tried an experiment where there was across the board dummies in decision making positions without checks and balances and guardrails in place. 4 years is a long time, things were basically totally broken down and falling apart during the last year of Trumps first presidency and there had never been such a comically inept lack of leadership and decision making. But at that point there were still some people of credibility and experience and competence who would associate with him. Now it’s just goons and simpletons and hanger ons, there isn’t a single person of reasonable competence who will associate with him at this point.

So no, Trump won’t purposely end democracy. In fact if that was his intention everyone would feel better because he would just fail at that too. But it’s definitely on the table that he would inadvertently end it out of mismanagement and dumbness.
