If they move from Biden, given where things are today, I am not sure what candidate other than Kamala would want it. dems are behind. The country isn't happy. Why would Newsom or any other future candidate want this stank on them as opposed to waiting their time and doing it right? On the other hand, for Kamala this would likely be her only shot. She is not popular. She was the first candidate out in 2020. She has nothing to lose. She would never win the nomination in a full primary process.
