Of course as Gabe would say, this is a fluid situation.
It sounds like the 'down ticket' politicians are freaking out that the polls are showing that with Biden at the top of the ticket they are losing ground... that the Democrats will lose seats in the Senate and in Congress.
If Cenk was correct, perhaps the original white flag was hoisted when potential replacements for Biden got cold feet. Perhaps no one wanted to be the sacrificial lamb to go down to ignominious defeat.
Maybe they've persuaded someone to give it a go.
