Life or career, and then does horrible horrible things as well, he is memorialized for the good and the bad things are forgotten. Simpson only killed two people, both were white, so it's no big deal. But he sure could play football.
If a conservative lives an exemplary life and career for 50 years and then says something that offends the liberal elite whether it's about race or transgender or politics, his lifetime of good works is forgotten, and his statement that offends the liberals is inshrined and the pantheon of hate.
