Imagine that the President wakes up tomorrow and decides that he is pro-Hamas. Wild, weird scenario - won't happen, but imagine the extreme because someone could push it there. Qualified immunity has existed for a long time, and while there have been instances where it has been problematic, absolute immunity is a horrid idea. I believe they said that communications with staff can't be considered. You guys celebrate Snowden and Assange. They could now be killed and the instructions to do so would be undiscoverable, or at the very least, couldn't be used to determine whether there was intent to commit an official act or to exact a petty grievance. It's a horrible decision and that's not even about Trump. Just look at the clowns in office from both extremes. You want them to have that kind of power?
