What if Biden fires cackles?

He (or more realistically his handlers, i.e. Obama) can pick any person for VP. There is no reason it has to be her. The PR would be a disaster, but it could give them something to vote for without Biden stepping down. Then all he has to do is survive until Jan 20, then he can step down at any time.
Cackles is so unpopular, and no more competent than the Big Guy, replacing her makes sense. At this point, it is certain Uncle Joe ain't going for 4 more years. So the VP could very well become President without having to go thru all the problems of changing candidates at this late stage.
Does anybody doubt they might be trying to backdoor something like this?
