the Trump tax cut (fact, from CT Chatgpt). It added two trillion to the deficit. Now deficits are caused by the difference between revenue and expenditures. Certainly, spending is part of the equation, but so is revenue.
Putting more money in the hands of the wealthy does little for the economy because they are already spending as much discretionary dollars as they are going to. All it does is add to the nation’s income inequality. Extending those cuts for wealthy tax payers is ill advised.
