There have been some notable sports figures who have called Amherst, MA their college home.
Of course, Marcus Camby was found to have received some financial “assistance” so their 1996 Final 4 appearance was vacated.
But at least on the basketball side of things, UMass has had some sports luminaries on their rosters in the past.
So now I understand why Mizzou took this game at 17,000 seat McGuirk Stadium.
A lot of history on that campus.
We should be thankful they were kind enough to host us.
