only happen every now and then. We won two games on last second field goals, we stayed healthy for the most part and pretty much got the bounces we needed to win. We were also damn good with a great story in Cody Schradrer.
Many of our 'special' years are followed up by disappointing years when hopes are high. '13 to '14 really wasn't bad, we won the division but lost a game to Indiana we shouldn't have, then got stomped by GA. Still finished in the top 25 but it was disappointing overall to most of us.
'07 to '08 was a disappointment b/c we had all the tools, got bounced by tx, osu, and that team of a-holes to the west. Beat Northwestern in the Alamo Bowl but really...
And for us old-timers even 1969-1970 was a huge disappointment since we had many studs back, but injuries, bounces (I vaguely remember Lynn Dickey beating us on a last second desperation pass. We went 5-6, losing season, it was unthinkable at the time.
I just want to see us get into the playoffs, which I have to believe will take 10 wins. Hope the football gods are with us. But if they aren't, the future still looks bright long term.
