If a person is openly willing to embellish or lie about something or part of an event, it is very easy to believe they are lying about everything. It's a principle tactic of lawyers in cross examination in court. It goes to credibility. She has none.

But most importantly, she wasn't even there so she has no useful information to provide about what happened in the car. Period.
