Heupel has landed an incredible qb. This is what is overlooked. He is about to be touted as a rising star coach again, yet doing the same job he did last year, the only difference, he has a gunslinger now at qb that is mobile. See their bowl game vs. the number one defense in the Big Ten where the new kid started. Coaches are under and over valued comparative to the qb they have. Pinkel even said, if you do not have a clear #1 qb you have a big problem on offense. Drink found a serviceable qb in Cook that was paired with an OC that had resources at the NFL level with scheme that attributed to our success and how everyone views Drink. If a head coach is viewed as not good, it is because they do not have a clear #1 alpha qb. See Bill Bellichek, and Drink up until last season.
