is agreed to and not subject to change on their whim. I once represented several 1099 mortgage brokers in this very situation.

Bank they worked for used a program to adjust their commissions on closed loans to some random number so the bank could hit their profit goals within that group.

My guys had an agreement which said what they were to make on a given loan close and this was a clear violation.

Case went on for three years until the bank had to settle because they needed to clear any litigation to be bought by another bank. Was a nice settlement for my guys.
