My dad died March 26, 2020 (Parkinson's complications, but I'm sure somewhere he was marked down as a Covid death since those generated revenue for places at that time). He was 78.

I was 43, about to turn 44.

He got to meet and know all 3 of his grandkids, though not nearly long enough with mine (she had just turned 3). His oldest 2 grandkids just graduated high school last week, he would have given anything to live long enough to see that.
