Their teams (Dixon vs. Versailles) reportedly had an epic sectional game in Single-A (at the time) in 1969. Both had over 40 points. Brown went to Mizzou and Laurie went to Memphis St. and started at point guard in the epic Bill Walton national championship game against UCLA.
