that it resulted in higher revenues doesn't imply the intent was to increase tax revenue.

I'm not arguing anything about Trump reducing gvmt; that's a joke.

I just think pickle would get more conversation if he didn't take this posture - it's reality that the tax rates reduced, the standard deduction was raised (a much bigger improvement imo) and there's no reason to not acknowledge that WHILE pointing out that he imposed tariffs and that revenue increased (which is a sign of more income to individuals when rates are lower).
