I don't disagree that it's a better job as far as prestige

and a place to live. Being the head coach of the Lakers is probably the preeminent basketball job in the world.
But I also think it's a lot harder job to keep over a long period of time. I think Hurley could easily be the head coach at UConn for the next 25 years with how he can recruit and the level of success he's had. But he won't be able to recruit better players to the same extent that he can at UConn and the field is much more level in the NBA. I could definitely see him taking the job and being fired in like 3 years because the Lakers just aren't a great team right now and I don't think Hurley can magically fix that.
