Their track record is appalling and in the face of continued failing results, particularly for minority kids, they have shown zero willingness to make changes to fix it. They become a pawn of whatever political party is in charge, which is why we have DEI and CRT and deadbeat teachers who are almost impossible to get rid of.

I also agree with choice of schools. This is a leftist issue where no kid should be allowed to choose another school and all kids must stay in failing schools despite no efforts to improve the schools. Privatize schools and make them compete.
