ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO - A St. Francois County sheriff’s deputy and his wife were charged Friday with attempting to sexually abuse a child younger than 12.
Prosecutors say David Blankenship, 39, and Karlie Blankenship, 28, exchanged messages on the video sharing app TikTok about plans to drug and rape a child on camera.
Detectives found direct messages on the app between the Blankenships in which they shared several videos of young girls they found attractive, discussed their desire to rape underage girls, and talked about how to find local children for that purpose.
In another discussion, the two talked in detail about plans to rape a specific child they knew. They said they planned to drug the child with psilocybin mushrooms, Xanax, methamphetamine, muscle relaxers and “Molly,” to incapacitate her.
David Blankenship told his wife he purchased sex toys for the child, and he sent the wife an Amazon screenshot of the order, police said. When he explained the plans to rape the child while she was sleeping, Karlie replied with a heart emoji.
Investigators said the two also discussed making videos of the acts and selling them online.
