above my head. Head pushing against the sand. Good thing I was young and flexible. Got out of the water. Walked back to where I left my military ID in my shoes and both ID and shoes were gone.

Somebody using my ID got a speeding ticket in Alabama and my insurance company wanted to raise my rate until I proved to them I was in Vietnam when the guy got the speeding ticked. Then they sent me a $100 that I didn't have coming. I think they felt sorry for me.
