I believe law enforcement properly uses discretion in charging people with crimes. For instance, going 3 mph over the speed limit is technically a crime but likely should not result in a ticket. This is rightful and proper discretion by law enforcement.

I also realize a person's individual feelings about a law is a preposterous standard by which to determine if a law should or should not be followed and if that person should be charged.
